The space between

neither here nor there

like deep, dark clouds

rumbling voice across the sky

with drops of water, standing watch

not yet falling nor filling up

this languish,

with its dwindling light,

searches for wonder

and something to hold,

calling enchantment

to show up at the door

to fill the space between,

so it can soar.
