The drops ping outside my door

There is no sun, but I rise to soar

The flowers know and reach out more

Five in a row, the gulls align

keeping rhythm against the tide

Clank, clank, goes the mast

as minutes linger in the past

Life's no longer forward fast

stopping slowly it moves my soul

So I can hold...onto life's sweet glow.
