Grief stands at your door

Courage opens it

and love walks through

seeking a last or long embrace

the reassurance of a known voice

the opportunity for a new, or different, story

or a yearned-for memory, or a brave opening

where forgiveness fills you whole

and a lasting understanding of

the human condition

moves your soul and footprints

along.
