It's Sunday in the village of Maphiri, located just outside of Angonia's district capital, Vila Ulónguè, in the northwestern province of Tete, in Mozambique—the day after a man and woman were married.

The wedding party—singing, dancing and ululating—makes it way around the village visiting the family members of the newly married couple. Gourds filled with traditional beer pass through the hands of the people, and the oppressive heat and sand whips around the corners of the earth-plastered homes.

It's a day—in the village of Maphiri.

And the people sing. And the people dance.
